In any competition you need rules.
Artikel 1
Participation is open to all Dutch and foreign butchers who give their word that the product sent in are theirs.
Artikel 2
The following products me be entered

All types of sliceable sausages

All sorts of raw sausage spread or Andouille sec as well as all other varieties of sausages that can be specified by sort and name.

All types of smoked or dried uncooked ham

All types of cooked ham
-
All types Pate or terrine
All types of liverwurst
All types of cooked sausages
All types of BBQ sausage
All type of Grill sausage
Artikel 3:
Participants are requested to fill in the entry form attached to these rules.
Artikel 4 The entry fee is 50 Euro check to the amount of the entry fee should be attached to the entry form. The forms should be filled in with capitals (in order to prevent errors in preparing the Certificates). Upon receipt of the entry form the participants will be provided with further instructions as well as labels for the sausages. Dispatch and postage costs are on account of the participants.
Artikel 5
Members of the judging committee will sample each product. The members of the judging committee are specialists in the trade from different countries. There are at least five members of the committee. After the contest each participant will receive a detailed report. In order to do full justice to the specific national products, an international judging committee will if possible, sample these.
Artikel 6
A notary public will be responsible for a regular course of events; he will check all code numbers and names and no member of the judging committee will know the names of the participants. The list with the numbers and the corresponding names of the participants will be kept secret until the end of the contest.
Artikel 7
Every Product in the competition, valued with 42 to 50 points can win a bronze, silver or golden medal. If you send more than three different (winning) products it is possible to win a national cup. To be eligible for the supreme national or international cup one has to send in at least three products in the categories a, b and c of which each scored the maximum of 50 points. The national champignon in any category will only be appointed if there are at least 10 competitors from that country. An international jury will judge all international and national champignon prizes.
Artikel 8
Several international prizes will be provided for the international championships.
The 'Grand Prix d'Excellence' will be presented to the participant with the most products of 50 points.
Artikel 9
The allotted prize is valid during one year. There is no appeal against the decision of the judging committee.
Artikel
10
During
the evening party, one month after the contest, the national and international
prizes as well as the medals and certificates will, in a festive way,
is handed over to the winners. The winners are requested to be present
on this occasion in person or represented by a third party.
Cups
will not be sent, but will be held at the disposal of the winner until
twelve months after the contest.
